The ASIO5 is an innovative 5 MPixel CMOS Image Sensor product line with a high-performing small pixel, 1.4µm x 1.4µm, which fits a 1/4" optical format. It is based on Advasense’s patented Feedback Controlled Pixel (FCP™) technology, which enables an extremely high dynamic range (True Dynamic Range), very good color separation with good red color response (True Color) and superior low-light sensitivity. The ASIO5 features On Chip Integrated True Image Stabilization that eliminates image blur caused by camera shake in low light environments.
The ASIO5 outputs image resolution of 2592X1944 (5MPixel) at up to 15 frames per second ("fps"). It also supports HD video formats including: 1080p at 30fps and 720p at 60fps, making it an ideal choice for HD video capture.
The ASIO5 provides MIPI and SMIA serial output interfaces, in addition to a parallel interface, and an I2C control interface.
The ASIO5 outputs Bayer RGB data, while the ASIO5I includes an on-chip ISP to form a complete SoC, and outputs RGB and YUV formats.
